Representative Peterson Introduces Cannabidiol Legislation

House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson (D-MN) has introduced legislation (H.R. 5587) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act with respect to the regulation of hemp-derived cannabidiol and hemp-derived cannabidiol containing substances.


The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as the House Committee on Agriculture. The Minnesota Industrial Hemp Association will be monitoring the progress of this legislation and provide updates to members as developments warrant.
